    Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (लड़कियों छात्रों के लिए प्रगति छात्रवृत्ति योजना)

    Pragati Scholarship is one of the schemes of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi aimed at providing assistance for the Advancement of Girls participation (लड़कियों की भागीदारी) in Technical Education. As we know that education is one of the most important means of empowering women (महिला सशक्तीकरण) with the knowledge, skill, and self-confidence, it is necessary to participate fully in the development process. This is an attempt to give every young Women the opportunity to further her education and prepare for a successful future by “Empowering Women through Technical Education”. Under this scholarship, the government provides approx 4000 scholarships in every academic year. This scholarship is only available to female students as per the norms of “One Girl” per family. The amount of scholarship is Rs. 30,000/- per annum for Tuition Fee (ट्युशन शुल्क) and Rs. 2,000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals each year. For enrolling in Pragati Scholarship, the female candidates must have been admitted to 1st year of the Degree/Diploma program (डिग्री/डिप्लोमा कार्यक्रम) in any of the AICTE approved Institute during the academic year of application. And the student’s family annual income should not exceed more than Rs. 6 lakh from all sources. The application will be only made by online. Candidates will be selected on the merit basis at the qualifying examination to pursue Technical Education (तकनीकी शिक्षा) from amongst such candidates.

    Saksham Scholarship Scheme to Differently Abled Students (दिव्यांग छात्रों के लिए सक्षम छात्रवृत्ति योजना)

    The Saksham Scholarship Scheme is also introduced by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The objective of this scheme is to provides encouragement and support (प्रोत्साहन और समर्थन) to specially abled children to pursue Technical Education as its named “Saksham Scholarship”. This an attempt to give every young bright student who is Differently/Specially Abled, the opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future. Under this scheme, the AICTE Awards approx 1000 scholarships to specially-abled students in every academic year (हर शैक्षणिक वर्ष). The amount of scholarship is around Rs. 30,000/- per annum for Tuition Fee and Rs. 2,000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals (आकस्मिक व्यय) each year. For enrolling in Saksham Scholarship, the candidates must have been admitted to 1st year of the Degree/Diploma courses in any of the AICTE approved Institute during the academic year of application. And the student’s family annual income (परिवार की वार्षिक आय) should not exceed more than Rs. 6 lakh from all sources. Applications for Saksham Scholarship scheme will be done by online only, there is no offline mode. The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit at the qualifying examination (Which is organized by AICTE) to pursue technical education from amongst such candidates (उम्मीदवारों के बीच).

    Note: - As per the State/Central Government norms, there is a reservation for economically weaker section/minority/backward communities (आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग/अल्पसंख्यक/पिछड़े वर्गों) as follows. 7.5% reserved seat for ST candidates, 15% reserved seat for SC candidates, and 27% reserved seat for OBC candidates.
